What is a Tigon ¿Qué es un Tigon
A tigon is the result of cross breeding a male tiger with a female lion . A tigon es el resultado de cruzar la cría de tigre de un hombre con una mujer mayor. This does not occur in the wild because of the territorial differences of the two cats but breeding between the two cats does occur. Esto no ocurre en el medio silvestre debido a las diferencias territoriales de los dos gatos, pero la cría entre los dos gatos se produce. When mixed in captivity breeding will naturally happen and the resulting offspring will be a tigon. There is no scientific name assigned to this animal although both parents are members of genus Panthera . En caso de mezcla de cría en cautividad, naturalmente ocurrir y la descendencia resultante será a tigon. No hay un nombre científico asignado a este animal, aunque ambos padres son miembros del género Panthera. It’s not a natural creature, according to science, but I believe it should be assigned a name. No es una criatura natural, de acuerdo a la ciencia, pero creo que debe ser asignado un nombre.
During the 1800’s there were more tigons than ligers (the mix of a male lion and a female tiger) Â but that trend has turned around and tigons are not as plentiful today. There is currently breeding going on in China as you can see from the recent post about the four cubs born there in May of 2006. Tigons and Ligers are fabulous! Tigons y Ligers son fabulosos! They immediately became my favorite animal as soon as I saw and heard of them. Tigers and Tigons have always been my avorite animals when they became one. Tigres y Tigons siempre han sido mi avorite animales cuando se convirtió en uno. Tigers on the other hand have always been a favorite of mine so when i found out that they breed tigers and lions and the cubs became ligers and tigons i was amazed. Tigres, por otra parte siempre han sido un favorito de la mía así que cuando me enteré de que la raza tigres y leones y los cachorros se convirtió en ligers y tigons i estaba asombrado.

I think Hybrinding animals is wrong….if they didn’t do it on their own they obviously didn’t want to and humans breeding them is horrible. Creo Hybrinding animales está mal…. Si no lo hacen por su propia cuenta, obviamente, que no quiso ser humano y la cría de ellos es horrible. They are two different breeds it’s like making a wolf and a fox breed. Se trata de dos diferentes razas es como hacer un lobo y un zorro raza. If they didn’t do it in nature why should we make them. Si no lo hacen en la naturaleza ¿por qué deberíamos hacer. What if you had to breed with someone you didn’t want to but these people you didn’t know forced you too….it’s inhumain and just wrong. ¿Qué pasa si usted tenía que cruzarse con alguien que usted no quería, pero estas personas que no sabían que obligó también…. Inhumain es justo y equivocado.
The diffs between tigons and ligers are surprising. Las diferenciaciones entre tigons y ligers son sorprendentes. Tigons are overall well proportioned, though sometimes smaller than the parents. Ligers have the biggest zygomatic arches I’ve seen on any animal - they have a distinct distortion there to to giantism.
