probably not. most reptiles eat only moving food it is their instinct to want fresh kill. not dead possibly decaying bugs

I buy the canned(dead) mealworms and 8 of my 14 geckos eat them. 4 of them were babies at them time and I just moved them alot with a pencil and they grabbed them. Not I just put them in a dish and they know that its food! Some of my older ones only go after them if I move them. I feed a wide variety of live food as well, but it’s nice to always have something if I run out of food!
