It’s because people don’t use their brains. They see a cute thing and think “awwww those poor little things” instead of realizing that Mr. Bear is busy eating all the fish and Mr. Lion just had Mr. Zebra for dinner.

The animals you named are all carnivores, and must eat meat in order to survive. The animals they hunt and kill are not defenseless, and are not eaten while still alive. People (like me) who work to protect “lions and tigers and such” do so because we know that all parts of an ecosystem are important. We work to protect ALL animals that are endangered or threatened with extinction, regardless of whether they are predators or prey.

Its because again, like I have said before,MORALITY is a HUMAN concept, it doesn’t apply to animals.They have sex with anyone as long as it belongs to the same species,so we can witness brother having sex with sister,or even mother,etc.So tearing each other apart isnt a big deal and they do it for their own survival
But we as humans do have to realize that the world is not just for us, whats in this world without animals?, and since we have that reasoning capacity we have the responsibility to protect the animals to make the world a better place for everyone including animals to live
Also, animals have a role in maintaining ecological balance, so extinction of animals can also lead to environmental hazards which would make world an unlivable place for humans
