   Leopard spots have tiny patches of tan/brown in them, Cheetah spots are pure black.

   Their faces are quite different; a leopard has a more leonine face while a cheetah has relatively flat ears and pronounced, black ‘teardrops’.
   Leopard spots tend to be slightly irregularly shaped with holes in the middle (like polos) while cheetah spots are a little more regular, without holes.

   Cheetah:
   - Slender with long legs
   - Small head (aero dynamic)
   - “Tear” marks from eye to cheek – deflects sunlight when chasing prey
   - Semi – retractable claws
   - Spots are black dots

   Leopard:
   - More muscular, almost stocky build
   - Spots are called rosettes, looks like broken o’s and c’s
   - Fully retractable claws

   The leopard stands shorter, but is more heavily-built with proportionately shorter legs. It has a longer head, and its spots are arranged in small rings.

   The cheetah stands taller, but is slender and lightly-built with long legs. Its head is small and rounded, with distinctive black ‘tear-marks’ running from the corner of each eye to the corner of the mouth. Its spots are solid black.
