What’s a safe moss for a Leopard Gecko and how much is ok?

I just bought “Terrarium Moss” (from the brand Zoo Med) for my Leopard Gecko and I was wondering if it’s ok to use or should I only use a specific brand?
Where should I put it in the terrarium?
And is there such thing as too much moss?

It should be okay. Put it in the “moist hide.” If you haven’t got one, I suggest a tupperware container with a hole cut in for the leo to crawl into the box. A thin layer of moss will do. Make sure it’s moist, not wet. This will aid in the shedding process.

That’s fine – I believe it’s just repackaged sphagnum moss, which is what you want.

You need to provide your leo with a humid hide that’s in addition to its usual dry hide, and is best positioned (I find) in the mid-temperature-range area of your vivarium/tank.

The leo will use this humid hide when necessary to make shedding easier. Having it will decrease the risk of it losing toes by incomplete shedding of the skin on its digits, which would otherwise constrict and cut off the blood supply.

yeah if you put it every where lol it probly wouldent hurt anything but make sure theres room for hiding places and climbing places.

It is fine, called spagnum moss. Put it in the moist hide!
