Whichever animal is the mother wouldn't make a difference, because half the genes are from the mother and half are from the father. The offspring may look more like a tiger, but genetically it is a liger. Secondly Whenever two species cross-breed the offspring will almost always be infertile, so if a liger mated with any thing nothing would happen (other than uncomfortable conversation afterward, and the phone calls...).
