The Tigon2 is a Gigabit Ethernet network interface chipset which was originally produced by Alteon Networks. NICs based on the Tigon2 are sold by Alteon, 3Com, Netgear and some other companies. It has two MIPS-like processors and also 2 DMA channels. Also, it supports hardware IP, TCP and UDP checksum and jumbo frames.
