   A liger is the offspring of a male lion and a female tiger and eventually outgrow them both and the possibility of the liger having stripes is 60%/40%.

   It can be a tiger without stripes or can be a lion with stripes or even a perfect lion or tiger. It may happen as independent assortment.

   if its a liger,then its a cross between lion and a tigress.It will have stripes but it will be very light in colour.
