i think that the breeding of lions and tigers to create ligers an tigons shouldnt be done as when they are mated the offspring are sterile so the species cannot thrive. at the end of the day thats mother natures way of saying this is wrong. they may look magnificent but i think it has gone too far we now are messing in mothernatures genepool when we shouldnt one day she will bite back and something bad will happen and we will suffer the consequences. on the other hand lions and tiger are the planets most magnificent big cats and we should treasure their existence and thank god for giving us such precious creatures. we shouldnt be abusing them we should be saving them from extinction its our fault they are going extinct and i am one of thousands of people who is helping towards them being saved i think some people should think about the animals welfare and genetic traits. and sign up to save the true species of lion and true species of tiger
thanks hope you enjoyed reading my thoughts rachael.

you ever heard of a mule? thats exactly the same thing, but between a horse and a donkey ^^
never heard anyone complaining about that, so why dont you all accept the liger for what it is: a living creature!!

Enough of this already! Science has already proven that interbreeding is doable. The fact that ligers and ligons are sterile means interbreeding should not go any further because it is a useless and cruel practice. Experimenting with no actual objective in sight is cruel. If the sole objective is to be able to show the hybrids as a circus animal, then that is not ethical. Creating freaks of nature is absolutely unethical. The Humane Society should ban and discourage this practice and encourage our lawmakers to pass a law prohibiting this useless practice. If these were humans, they would have been banned ages ago. How would you like to see a public display of an autistic child or a child with a cleft lip eating?

Is it the Tiger is male and the Lion is female?
I think it is the Liger
When it is a female Tiger and a male Lion I think it is a Tigon
