Question about Ligers?
I had seen a comment on a video I had watched stating a Liger would easily overwhelm a Lion or a Tiger in a fight due to it’s massive size. I thought, however, I had read an article quite a while back and that said a Ligers size is actually a detriment in a fight because it wouldn’t be as fast or as aggressive (Because Male Ligers are sterile they have low testosterone and therefore are more docile) than the Lion or Tiger. Does anyone have any knowledge or ideas on the probable outcome?? Just curious. Thanks

Animals DON’T FIGHT if they can possibly avoid it. You can’t force animals to fight.
The ones you mention would never make contact in the wild & are too expensive to ruin in captivity.
*&*…it’s not the size of the dog in the fight,it’s the size of the fight in the dog.
The probable outcome still could be the Liger just because of size. It is all depending on surroundings, habitat, objects nearby, animals nearby, almost anything you can think of can change the battle. It is almost impossible to guess the winner but id say all three have a pretty even chance of winning ( by all three i mean liger vs tiger, or liger vs lion. not liger vs tiger vs lion.)
A liger can easily overwhelm the lion or tiger but the others can also overwhelm a liger. so yes it all depends on environment.
I do not know who is more fightable lion or liger.
My guess, it would be very difficult to get them to fight with each other in all circumstances (in the wild or in the cage).
However, male lions do fight with each other. For them it is necessary component of their lives.
BTW, interesting images on query “lions fights”.
Besides the liger being a too heavy to be a proper fighter, their behaviour is unpredictable since they are hybrid animals. My guess would be a tiger winning most fights, the lion not so much. Although I heard of some stories about an specific liger called sultan who killed some tigers/lions.
The wonderful thing about Tigers …..
Tigers a wonderful thing !
