leopard gecko hasnt pooped for 2 days?

ive had my gecko for about a month now. he eats everyday and poops everyday also. i recently bought him a new hide its an Zoo Med Reptile Shelter 3 in 1 Cave, Medium. i use it as his humid hide and it has moss in it. he just shed 3 days ago, but pooped after that. he spends most of his time in his new hide. i never see him come out unless i open the top and he goes out. i think he knows his way out. im just not sure why he hasnt pooped. he’s been eating fine. he hate 4 crickets last night. any ideas what could be wrong, this normal?
i have reptile carpet for my leo. he’s about a few months old. he does spend most of the time in his humid hide tho. he is active when he’s out tho. chasing crickets.

Just wait 2 more days and if he hasn’t pooped yet, he could be impacted. Impaction is when a substance builds up in the digestive system blocking waste from coming out, so it is impossible to excrete waste. It is very deadly and if not treated your gecko can shortly die. Also the procedure is very expensive if he is impacted. Just make sure by waiting 2 more days that it isn’t that. And your leopard gecko didn’t eat that many crickets so.

I wouldn’t be to worried. Sometimes animals aren’t that regular. My gecko doesn’t defecate regularly always either. Make sure the crickets you feed him are the right size, not bigger then the space between his eyes. That he is on good substrate that won’t cause impaction (no calci-sand). And then he should be fine.
Hope this helps put your worries at ease.

If he is an adult I’m sure he’s fine, they store food better than babies. Is he on sand? If so you could have a major problem. If there is sand in your terranium then you need to get him out now; he could be impacted. If this is the case gently massage his tummy and put a warm, damp cloth under him, it will help him pass the sand he may have ate. If he is a baby and there is NO sand in the terranium then give him a little more to eat, he may pass the old if you give him new. Good luck.
