Is This A Real Picture Of A Ti-liger ?

http://i35.tinypic.com/2dsfhid.jpg
Well they are quite confusing so Idk whether’s its a ti-liger,li-tigon or whatever,
also a Liger [IMG]http://i36.tinypic.com/29f83ds.jpg[… weights 1500 pounds, so does it makes him far more stronger than a lion/ bear/ gorilla ?

No, that is a photoshopped combination of a lion and a tiger.
A liger, the offspring of a male lion and female tiger, looks like this:http://www.gikku.com/wp-content/uploads/…
A tigon, the offspring of a male tiger and female lion, looks like this:http://www.geocities.com/pride_lands/noe…
Ligers tend towards gigantism and usually grow larger than either of their parents, whilst tigons tend to be smaller or at least no larger than their parents. Like most hybrids, both are nearly always sterile, but occasionally a female will be fertile (there is no record of fertile males), and can be bred back to a male lion or tiger, producing:
    Lion + liger = li-liger
    Tiger + liger = ti-liger
    Lion + tigon = li-tigon
    Tiger + tigon = ti-tigon
A li-liger or li-tigon will look more like a lion, since it carries more lion genes than tiger genes, and a ti-liger or ti-tigon will look more like a tiger, due to its greater number of tiger genes.
Ligers are larger than tigers, the largest cat species, and therefore are probably stronger than tigers are. This means they are certainly stronger than gorillas – a gorilla only weighs around 450lb, whereas a lion can weigh 550lb and a tiger 660lb. Any of these cats could easily kill a gorilla – they are not only larger and stronger, but far better armed. I would also expect a lion or tiger, and therefore definitely a liger, to win in a fight with a bear. Though some bear species, such as the brown bear and polar bear, can weigh more than these cats, most of their weight comes from their large, heavy skeletons and considerable amount of body-fat. By contrast, a cat’s skeleton is quite small given the size of the animal, and its body-fat is minimal – most of its weight comes from its enormous musculature. They have evolved to hunt prey considerably larger than they are – they have to be immensely strong in order to bring down animals like gaur and buffalo. They also have much larger canines than bears, and the shortened muzzle and large sagittal crest on the skull gives them more powerful jaws. Not to mention their eighteen razor-sharp claws (bears’ claws are non-retractile, and therefore blunt). Brown bears are omnivorous, and much of their diet consists of vegetation. Though they do eat meat, it is usually either carrion or small or young animals that are easy to catch and kill. Tigers are known to prey on brown bears where their ranges overlap. Polar bears, though the most carnivorous of the bears, prey mainly on seals, which are considerably smaller than they are, meaning they do not require as much strength to kill them.

That is obviously photoshopped. It’s a tiger’s body with a lion’s mane. A real tigon or liger would not have such contrast. It would look more properly like ‘in between’.
    As for your other question:
    stronger than a lion? probably
stronger than a gorilla? OF COURSE. Even a lion is stronger than a gorilla
stronger than a black bear? yes
stronger than a grizzly or polar bear? most likely not
Unless the feline is incredibly lucky and gets a good first strike, a grizzly can easily kill a tigon, liger, tiger or lion. But the two usually avoid each other. The grizzly may be more powerful, but it is still fearful of the big cat.

No, that picture is probably just photoshopped. There ARE ligers, though! The liger, is a hybrid cross between a male lion and a female tiger. A liger resembles a tiger with diffused stripes. They are the largest cats in the world, but are not a true taxon. A similar hybrid, the offspring of a male tiger and a female lion, is called a tigon.

    Tigon: http://www.geocities.com/pride_lands/nat…
I saw that the largest liger on record is more like 1,100 lbs, rather than 1500, and 10 ft. tall. A Grizzly is 1500 lbs, and 8ft.
I think the short stockiness of the bear would put it at a disadvantage to the swift movements of a cat. In WA, we have cougars and generally bears will back away from them because cats are agile.
I think with a gorilla vs. Liger, a Liger would probably win. Gorillas are actually very non-aggressive and they usually act intimidating to AVOID an actual fight. They will actually back off first if the other animal doesn’t, and usually only attack if they are cornered or when the other party retreats. You have a better chance of being attacked by a chimpanzee than a gorilla!
As for the lion vs. liger, I think a liger would win. They both have the instincts and abilities of a cat, but the liger has some pounds, plus reach on the lion!
Okay, hope that helps a little :D

    No, thats definately photoshopped.
Its a good picture, but the belly part makes
    it obvious for me.
