If You Breed A Liger And A Tigon Together, would It Make A Ligon?

ligers can grow up to be 12 feet long and weigh 1,500 pounds and i think they are not stertile. Tigon are about the size of a large simitren tiger and weigh 350 pounds and i think they are stirtle.

Male ligers and tigons are sterile, but the females are not. While it would be impossible (considering all ligers and tigon males to date are sterile) to breed liger and a tigon, breeding a liger or a tigon female with a male tiger or lion is possible and does happen. The offspring are called ti-tigons, ti-ligers, li-tigons, and li-ligers, all depending on the parents. Ti-ligers and ti-tigons look very much like tigers that have been through the wash a few times. Li-tigons and li-ligers look like lions with tiger-stripe ghost markings.

Both are sterile…they can’t be bred again.

liger (male lion bred with female tiger), and tigon (male tiger bred with female lion). if a liger and a tigon bred i would agree that they would produce a ligon. being that in an extremely rare case that you found a fertile cat of each hybrid, it’s possible. though i would believe that the resulting cub would be very fragile and would definantly be in the guinness world record book. because it would most definantly never happen again. but i have heard of a tigon breeding with a male lion and producing cubs. she was a very rare case.
    good luck with your answer,
