If Wild Life Is So Important, Is Human Life Not?

Filed in Category Cheetahs

Yesterday I read an article on DNA that some 5 wild cats (probably cheetahs) were killed by an electrified fence installed by a farmer to protect his crops (and obviously his family too). Now the government officials have arrested that farmer. If the cheetahs’ lives were so valuable, isn’t human life important anymore. And if the farmer has been wrong in installing an electrified fence, why are those government officials not at wrong for never educating/guiding the innocent farmers who are then arrested for something they were never knew of? Who do you think is really wrong?

Human life is very important too.
The problem is that the voltage of the electricity at the fence must be low, just to cause fear and a little shock to the animals when they try to cross it, then they learn the fence is offensive to them, so they go to another places to hunt or just to take a walk.

Killing of animals to protect the crop is a regular practise. The threat is not from wild animals, but from pigs and other omnivorous animals, followed by their carnivorous hunters. Killing of humans are also allowed for saving one’s life. Farmers can be the best judges in deciding which animal to save and which animal to kill. They are the ones who live with domestic as well as wild animals.

Well I do believe that most people including most government officials do value human life but the problem I think is with the level of force. He could have probably installed a fence that would have kept the felines away from his family and livestock without killing them. Many of these jungle cats are endangered so causing harm to them comes with high penalties and I can assure you that anyone living in the area is well aware of those penalties.

It was Asian Lions that are on the endanger list, the farmer broke the law and should pay for it.
The Earth is over populated and is causing the lost of natural resources. We need to slow the birth rate the save our self and other animals.

    we live in strange world.
we have so many laws – not useful for man.
I n india we spent cores of rupees to prosqute a cine actor for his act of
    kill and dine a dear.
most the time Our Indian gods ride various kinds of animal and birds, and even put a snake in his head.
but the all the gods are united to stop the dalits to enter its residence – that is temple.
practically human is lesser value than the animal.
see the price of tiger skin-most of the time it cost more than 5 laks.
but what about the man skin..
in Singapore the government canned the man to ripe his skin for the offense of throwing some waste materials in road.

Wow Tej…the farmer was ARRESTED, not ELECTROCUTED.

I suppose neither the farmer, nor you, my friend have heard about this, but its true that, Ignorance of Law is no excuse to justify your actions.
The farmer at one end cries that he has barely enough to eat, on top of that he uses an illegal connection to get electricity, both for his home and his fields, then instead of using the electricity for its beneficial purpose he uses it as a ‘ guard’ failing to reailse the consequence of a Human coming into contact with the wire. Had that been the case, the farmer would’ve been held under Section 304 A IPC for having caused death by his negligence, would you then raise the same question as you raise now?

You mean things like…..how can PETA be so concerned about the killing of animals for food and at the same time support the killing of unborn babies for the convenience of the mother?

both the species are fighting for the earth space. At present humans are wittling .Some believe though humans may be winning but animals are not losing.
    ulltimately both will lose

Rare / Becoming Rare gets Quicker Attention Irrespective of Common Tendencies . Both are Right . In this case , farmer has started his defence w/o facong Offence . Still , later observations can prove him Innocent . Yet , He could have come across . { Intentionally , Many have deployed this Approach . he needs to get Declared – Whichever way he would Deserve .

Tej, as majority sounds, life of animals is equally important as that of a human being. It is important to protect these animals too. But as you mentioned in second part, it’s fault on government’s part not to educate villagers. This can happen with even a human being

I think society has gotten a little carried away, don’t you? I didn’t hear about this story until I read your question and you are right on! How do you arrest a man who is trying to make a living for himself and his family. They have really got it screwd up. I bet they let the homeless walk the streets but a man doing what he knows to provide for a family has been taken away from the people who depend on him! What a world!!

It appears to be an honest mistake, and priorities of values have become twisted because of liberalism.
Roe vs. Wade needs to be overturned, and that should be at the top of the list.

No human life not important that why we have wars around the world. If it was important people would find a way to have peace.
