If A Donkey And A Horse Can Have A Mule (sterile Hybrid) Can A Human And A Similar Primate Do The Same?
Donkeys and Horses have less DNA in common than some primates do with humans. The same goes for a Lion and a Tiger.
I have to ask, if it were to be done in a lab, could a human reproduce with a non-human? It doesn’t matter how much this idea scares you. Don’t give me religious opinions.
Im asking if you think its SCIENTIFICALLY possible.

There is no human-primate or human-anything hybrid that has ever existed. However, some scienfic work has shown that human sperm can associate with the eggs of higher primates. In fact, Michael Bedford reported in the May 28, 1981 issue of Nature that human sperm can penetrate the protective outer membranes of healthy gibbon eggs. But no one has ever tested the developmental potential of an ape egg penetrated by human sperm – these cells were never allowed to divide.
There are some rather infamous scientists who have worked on such a project, but if success was made it was either never reported as data for review, terminated prematurely, or fraudulent. For some background see:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ilya_Ivanov…
I watched a show one time that was talking about things like that and a human can have sex with a sheep and get the sheep pregnant. So yes, I have heard it is scientifically possible.
I’m sorry, but a human CANNOT get a sheep pregnant with human sperm.
eeewww!
DNA is kinda tricky…I mean with evolution those changes took thousands of years…..I think there’s an attraction between similar cells and a repulsion of cells that are not similar….I don’t think the sperm can break through the lining of the egg in different species……still it’s eeewww!
I read once that the human sperm contain some specific enzymes that makes them the only sperm that can go trough the membrane of the ovule, with out this enzyme the ovule can´t be traspassed. I’ve never heard of an hybrid between a human and some other animal so maybe the rest of the animals do not contain this enzyme, this enzyme, at the very moment that has contact with the ovule membrane the head of the sperm passes trough and the ovule doesn´t permit the entrace of another sperm…
