Male Tigons are the only ones sterile – So why not cross a male Liger with a female Tigon?

Side note to breed any of these creatures is nothing short of ignorance and human greed. Makes me sick to see what these poor cats have to go through because of it.
What’s the point? Both separate pure species are in so much trouble in the wild, mixing them makes no sense. A zoo or wildlife preserve isn’t going to waste tons of money on something like that.
