I’m reading The Seekers Series, and I love Lusa And Kallik. Black Bears And Polar Bears are one of my favorite animals. So, I’m curious. What would the hybrid name be for a Black Bear and a Polar Bear?

Probably a blolar bear if the father was the black bear or a pock bear if the father was the polar. In the names of hybrid animals, the father’s species forms the first part of the name – e.g. a polar bear-grizzly bear hybrid is known as a pizzly bear if the polar is the father or a grolar bear if the grizzly is the father.
