Having guests be eaten certainly will not help. Guest happiness is not solely based on your animals. It has a lot to do with the environment and the entertainment. How would you like to go to a zoo and just look at animals but there is nothing else to do. Try putting more food stand, theaters, gift shops, SHOWS, etc. These will be their main source of happiness. Also, make sure the atmosphere is nice.
