How good would the lions be if Ben Roethlisberger was the Quarterback?

I mean the kid is 25 with 2 superbowls now. I mean if he was to play for the lions would he be able to take them to a super bowl?

Now instead of using Roethlisberger what about Tom Brady? Could he take the lions to the super bowl?

0-16 good would be my guess!Without a great defense Ben Roethlisberger is just not all that good!

Nope, and nope. It wouldn’t matter what quarterback they had there…they wouldn’t go to the Super Bowl. Well, let me rephrase that….they wouldn’t have been able to go with last year’s team and one of those quarterbacks. The team played bad as a whole…wasn’t just the quarterback play. It was offense and defense. This year, can’t really say. I already think they’re gonna win at least 6 games this year (no I’m not a Lions fan, just a realist)….but I still wouldn’t even consider them close to Super Bowl contenders with Culpepper, Stafford, Roethlisberger, Brady, or even Manning. Just need to fill more holes.

they would be better but not a SB team Brady and Calvin Johnson would be sick but could that O-line protect Brady?

Big Ben can play without an O-line but hes not the type of QB who can carry a team and win the game on his own he needs an amazing D and he just makes enough plays to get by and not do anything lose the game

    they would be worse….

Big Ben is bad… His defense and his run game carries him to multiple SBs.

Brady would be a an upgrade but it would make to difference they might even do worse because brady is not as mobile as Culpepper or Matt. The bottom line is… they needed an Oline more than anything, they drafted a severely overpaid qb that will have an unsuccessful next few years because they are a rebuilding team that needs rebuilding lessons.

they have more problems than just at QB

If the Lions had Kurt Warner, yes. Big Ben, no.

Ben is known to hold the ball very long and cough up a turnover or two.

Warner is similar but he knows how to release the ball against the blitz.

This was beautifully executed in the NFC Championship game. When Big Ben faced the fearsome blitz of the Eagles and Giants, he was sacked and pressured relentlessly.

No Super Bowl because the Lions don’t have defense and allowed 170 rushing yards per game, but no 0-16 because Big Ben is way better than Culpepper, Orlovsky, Drew Stanton and all the clowns that played behind center for Detroit.

I say they would go 8-8.
