How does a lion know if a lioness is in heat? Does she act different or does she smell different, or does the lion not even notice?

Her odor and behavior will attract the lion.

Cats have much better senses than us. Lions can smell when the female goes into heat. They can smell it when she sprays or pees. Behavior also changed when she is in heat.

The smell of the female lion will let every single lion around know that she is in heat
