   They are wild, which means they are illegal to own.

   In early elementary school, I used to boast (lie outrageously) that I had a zebra or a lion or a giraffe, as the other kids did. Now that I am much older, I know that no one can keep these kinds of animals without a lot of legal paperwork, permits and inspections. They don’t make good pets at all and would be very unhappy as pets.

   technically they arent wild, since ligers (and tigons for that matter) do not occur naturally. they are essentially made by humans: a lion and a tiger would never mate in the wild.
   even so.. they are still illegal without the proper liscences.

   but, no i do not have a liger.
   do you?
