i’m blonde and i don’t really understand big words
i have to research the number of chromosomes and in interbreeding species, are the animals that breed similar in number?
can you put in small words that a blonde would understand?

no, if they can be hybridized (mixed together) both animals (like donkey and horse) have to have the same number of chromosomes or else there wont be a pregnancy because it would be imposible to mix

Interbreeding species do NOT have to have the same chromosome number, but they need to be similar, especially in their arrangement of genes. This is more important for animals than for plants, which interbreed much more easily.
