Do Ligers Exist In India?


They have Lions in Indian and they have Tigers in india, so both species can interbreed.

    They do not do this naturally in the wild. The Ligers or Tigons which ever you choose are bred in captivity. Go to your search engine and type in Ligers it will pull up several sites and you can see some pictures of them Ligers are the result of a male lion and a female tiger while Tigons are the result of a male tiger and a female lion. The Ligers remind me of what a Sabre tooth tiger must have looked like in the prehistoric days. anyway, it is very interesting and some of the pictures are really cool.

    Ligers only occur when human beings interfere so Ligers exist only in captivity.

    They do not interbreed in the wild. For one thing their habitats rerely overlap. But there may be some in zoos. I know there are several US zoos that have them.

    I’m not sure, but they sure have them in MY part of town.

    I’ve seen them in a programme on the tele. They were massive animals. But they were not in the wild they were in some kind of sanctuary. I don’t think they would do this in the wild, but then stranger things have happened.
