I know a dog breeder, who tells me that it is perfectly possible to cross a very large dog, let&#8217;s say a great dane, with a very small dog, let&#8217;s say,. a chihuahua. Well obviously the great dane would have to be the mother, but if you arranged matters, the puppies would be viable.<br />
So this got me thinking, would the same thing work with birds and/or fish? Could you cross a goose with a chicken, for instance? Or could you cross a  pike with a carp? What is the most unusual cross which would produce viable hybrid offspring?</p>
